Check out this great story and video about the basic drill sharpening!
Ah, drills. They can be so good when they`re new and so irritating when they`re old and dull. When they get dull though, you want to sharpen them so you can eventually use them again on another project. However, when you want to sharpen them, the question remains: how? Well, this guy is here to tell you all about sharpening drills in your own home, so check out this story and the amazing video.
At the beginning of the video he starts out by showing you how to tell a sharpened from an unsharpened and a badly sharpened drill. It`s simple, you just get two nuts and measure the angle of your drill in comparison to the angle between the conjoined nuts. The guy takes you through the entire process of sharpening drills at home – starting with angle measuring, then removing any chips the drill must have on a belt sander while keeping both sides equal.
He also tells us about grinding the drills equally flat on both sides because of the necessary measurements that it`s going to take to get the drill to produce the same size hole every single time that it`s used. There`s a whole lot of information in this video and if you want to find out more, it will only take a few minutes and we guarantee you will love it!
