Here is something that will be a real treat for all those amongst you, who want to get more up close and personal with tuning houses of the GTR`s `native` country, Japan. The following video that we have prepared for you today is from an episode of Tuner Club, and it will take you inside the famous Japanese tuning house called Wacky Mate, and it will show you one of their great projects, a 1993 Nissan Skyline R32.
Wacky Mate house exists for about 12 years, and one of the men who is running the show is Akibiko Sakakibara, who has been in the business for more than 25 years. He is also the guy behind the R32 that is in the focus of this clip.
He describes himself and his teammates as a bunch of fools (hence the name of the house), who have one simple goal in common – building powerful machines that will attack time! In the case of this Skyline specimen, a car that will break Suzuka`s lap record! Besides Japanese competitions and tracks, their cars have been a part of WTAC in Australia as well.
Their 1993 Nissan Skyline R32, is heavily modified car, upgraded in almost every possible way! Starting from the body (there has been a significant weight loss), the motor, the suspension, the exhaust system, and many other components. Now, it is packing an engine which has an HKS 2.8 liter Stroker kit, with a single turbo setup, GReddy T88-34D 22cm Turbo. All together makes the car able to generate 800 HP.
But if you want to learn more about it, and see this great Skyline R32 in action, you will have to watch the video below, and find out yourself! And for those of you who want to find out more about the Skyline GTR R32, go to this link.
