Hyundai Elantra sets all-time record with up 33 %!
Hyundai Motor America announced on the 2nd of April 2013, sales of 68,306 units for the first quarter of this year. The sales increase for up more than 30% over the February levels and this is the best first quarter in Hyundai`s history!
Dave Zuchowski, Executive Vice President of National Sales said they definitely had benefit from the Elantra`s sales, improved weather condition in Northern Markets, the additional third shift at the Hyundai plan in Alabama and increased retailed activity.
Hyundai Elantra sets an all-time record of monthly sales of 26,153 units, up 33% comparing to last year. The other all-time record it was set by Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with 2,006 vehicles sold and up 13% vs last year.
The flex mix increase was 17% on monthly level and 16% for year to year.
Real Impact of Elantra and Sonata!
John Krafcik, President and CEO of HMA said this was the 2nd best sales month in their history, Hyundai`s plants are continuing to stretch to hit the demand levels. He said that in the second quarter we will see the real impact of improved Elantra and Sonata, the fastest turning mid-size sedan in the world.
72% Less Stock than the Competitors!
Hyundai achieved these results with 72% less dealer stock than the 5 highest mid-size sedans Accord, Fusion, Camry, Altima and Malibu. (According to Cars.com)
