The Slovenian company Akrapovic which is well-known for its innovative light exhaust systems has recently announced that in the near future we will have the opportunity to witness their latest project – an ultra-light exhaust system that will overcome all set standards before. The collaboration with Mercedes-AMG continues, and this time Akrapovic will build a special exhaust system that features alloys of titanium that are 45% less heavy than steel!
One thing is sure -- the company definitely knows how to use this delicate material that will probably get incorporated in the vehicles by other manufacturers. Akrapovic already conquered the throne with the most recent exhaust system that is included in the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupé, because is 36 pounds lighter than the stock system. However, the company was obviously craving for a more challenging goal that for other exhaust system specialists may seem unachievable. Keep up the good work guys!
