Now this is something you definitely don`t see every day! A Unimog climbing over a wall, which is several feet high, like it is a sidewalk! That is something we could definitely use one day! The video we have for you today shows a fully caged Unimog, and its creative driver! Instead of going all the way up the road, the driver decides to take a shortcut! And this is not a shortcut that an ordinary car can take!
In fact, the driver decides to drive his vehicle over a concrete wall! And he climbs it like it is absolutely nothing! The driver probably didn`t save too much time, but we understand him completely. Why wouldn`t you want to get over a concrete wall if your ride is capable of climbing it! We can freely say that most of us would have done the exact same thing!
The machine doing this marvelous feat is known as a Unimog. It represents a range of multi-purpose four wheel drive medium trucks. The funny name the machine has is German, and it is an acronym for the German Universal-Motor-Gerät. The word Gerät is the German word for device, also in the sense of machine. And this particular 4×4 vehicle is truly one amazing machine! These trucks are well known for their off road capabilities, and are regularly used on difficult terrain, such as jungles, mountains and deserts.
They are even used in competitions such as the famous Dakar Rally and Truck Trials over obstacles! The Unimog is quite rare in the US, but they are fairly common throughout Europe. With that being said, maybe if you see the video, you will be impressed by these beauties, as they are truly a modern engineering wonder!
