Naturally, it`s almost impossible to take a glimpse inside of an engine while it`s fully running. However, thanks to the wonderful material that is Plexiglas we can have a clear look inside a crankcase while running at high speed! Whenever we have this opportunity, it`s the nature of every gearhead to take a peek. In this very interesting crankshaft video, that is exactly what`s going on! Because of the certain parts which are fabricated with Plexiglas, we can see the crankshaft operating from fire up to being turned off and everything happening in between. Literally every stage of the process.
You will watch in awe as the nitro engine rotates at an extremely high speed and it spins so fast that everything becomes a blur. The greatest part of this crankshaft video is when the crankshaft turns off and we are able to see it come to a halt. This demonstrates how almost all of the crankshaft components interact with each other as they are slowing down. Usually, videos like this are done in virtual imaging. So big props for this guy who made this process in real life for all of us to watch how these components function. A real joy to learn about.
