Time Lapse Of The Millionth White 1992 CORVETTE RESTORATION!

Over a year ago, in February 2014, 8 scarce ‘Vettes were “swallowed” into a sinkhole that appeared underneath the National Corvette Museum. Quite a spot! Of course, these vehicles were rescued and thoroughly restored. One of these eight automobiles, happens to be the one millionth Corvette ever produced! A white 1992 Corvette convertible has been brought to its original appearance after four months or 1200 man hours of restoration! Because of the nasty fall, some of the parts had to be replaced, like the hood, front fascia and some lower panels. These parts were taken from a vehicle produced in the same series, in order to make sure that the restoration is on the highest level.

Unfortunately, two signed parts couldn`t be saved. On the other hand, the 5.7 liter LT1 motor as well as the transmission were undamaged, which really eased the team`s job. As we said earlier, besides this remarkable vehicle, there were other cars victims of the sinkhole that needed to be restored as well. The first one was the 2009 Corvette ZR1 also known as the Blue Devil, whereas the second car waiting in line to be restored is a 1962 model. We wish the best of luck to the people working on these vehicles, such as the 1992 Corvette!
