If you ask me, there is no other military vehicle that operates on better and higher level, and that leaves such a great impression, even to the biggest layman, like the one and only US Army all-wheel drive military vehicle, the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, batter known as the Humvee! Some of you probably know that it is an army automobile produced by AM General, and it is supplanting the roles of the original Jeep, and other light-weight army vehicles. Its great utility and usage in many areas had been recognized internationally, which is why other armies in the world are producing and using similar army vehicles. Today we are going to introduce you with the Turkish version of the American Humvee, called Otokar Cobra.
It has been developed by the Otokar company and it has a high reputation of an army automobile with superior maneuvering capabilities, the ability to adjust quickly, it offers ballistic protection, and has a great framework that has remained the same for a few generations now.
As I said, I personally think that there is no other army vehicle like the Humvee, but it does not hurt if we get to know some other reliable and powerful machines, from other national armies and producers. That is why we have chosen the Turkish Otokar Cobra as a good example of a preferred foreign army vehicle.
