Now a little bit about the history of these two beauties. After numerous experimentations with the aerodynamics that have started even from the late 20s and early 30s, it was the year of 1969 when Chrysler came up with its first model that will start writing the history. The car was Dodge Charger Daytona, which was followed by the Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, the next year.
The race models of `69 Charger Daytona were powered by the legendary 426 HEMI engine, and the 440 Magnum for the street models, and under the hood of the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird, there was the 440 Six-Pack. The following years, these two cars won almost every NASCAR race and gained the iconic status amongst every muscle car aficionado.
