Hello my fellow big diesel truck aficionados and enthusiasts! Today we have prepared you a video clip with one fine 2003 Ford truck example, powered by a 6.0 liter Power Stroke diesel motor, whilst being manipulated into a VGT position with Ford scan tools, and thoroughly checked in the garage, as the author of the video is saying. One of the first things that you can see in the footage are those great and powerful straight pipes of that black Ford Powerstroke Turbo monster, which in a combination with the loud and powerful whistle sound of the motor, makes you feel your neck skin crawl. Just as every powerful diesel engine should, I might add.
There is not much more info about this cool truck, so before leaving you to enjoy that awesome and positively chilling whistle sound, we will say a few things about the Ford PowerStroke turbo. One of the basics of a turbo, is to easily and quickly reach peak boost pressure, and in the same, to create as less as possible exhaust backpressure in order to drive the turbine wheel. The 6.0 and 7.3 liter variants were offered in 2003 models for the last time, because of the new and stricter emissions regulations, which resulted with a new engine design in the following year in 2004.
