There are many videos and tests that people have done over the years and they shared them on social media so people worldwide can learn something new, something that might help them whenever it is necessary. Even though we have previously seen many video in which people demonstrated how you can actually remove car scratches, one video in particular went viral. Namely, in that video a man showed us that you can actually use a WD40 and a lighter to simply remove any scratch on your car with ease.
Supposedly, all you had to do was to clean the area, apply some of that WD40, let it sit and then re-spray the area again with WD40 but while lighting it on fire with a lighter. Many people thought that that might actually work, but it was high time to actually put it to the test. Namely, in this video we see a simple demonstration that is going to give you all the answers that you are going to need.
Even though at first look it seems like the WD40 and lighter trick has done its job, after washing everything off with soapy water, it is obvious that the video was actually a hoax and that the trick does not work at all. All there is to it is the glossy finish that is left from the WD40, which is giving you the illusion that it can actually repair various car scratches.
Now you know that this will not work!
