There are many amazing inventions that people have done over the years as well as some even more amazing tests that have been conducted to prove some theories and dilemmas that have bothered common people for years and years. We have previously watched some of his videos and this time we take a look at yet another one. Namely, he wanted to test out whether a gas engine can run on Everclear, which is basically a very strong alcohol.
First of all we take a look at how the inside of the engine looks before the Everclear test is conducted. He is going to test the alcohol out on three different engines, and in the first one he uses 8 ounces of it. He pours it inside the lawn mower engine and even though he somehow managed to start it up, the engine runs very lean.
Hence the engine did not have an adjustable jet; he taped it with a small piece of duct tape that is going to act like a choke. Surprising enough, the engine now runs much better and the temperature of it seems normal even after couple of minutes running.
