3.6 kilometers long new race track is being built in Northern Ireland, just 40 minutes drive from the city of Belfast and hopes to attract the major racing championships in the world. It was already granted with permission for £29 million for the Lake Torrent venue and The Mid Ulster District Council gave a green light to begin this amazing race track in Coalisland, Northern Ireland.
This race track is being built by the FIA Grade 2 specification, so technically will be able to host any car or bike racing championship in the world except for Formula 1. One of the best target for the management of this track will be the World Superbike Championship. It is designed by a company that already worked on several Formula 1 and Rally circuits including the Silverstone race track.
The name of the company is Driven International and their Managing Director Ben Willshire announced that track will be ready for the first competition in the early 2019. However, only 12 days of racing will be allowed every year because of the noise restrictions.
