So apparently, this photographer got out of his car when he saw this young elk buck and he was immediately challenged by it.
However, the guy kept his cool and either sat down or was knocked down by the curious but enthusiastically angry animal. He`s so calm and calculating where his horns are going to go and sneaks in between them so he doesn`t get hurt. Those horns aren`t something to be messed with – they`re really sharp and long and will inflict a wound much worse than any knife. But even though he dodges the sharp parts, he can`t avoid getting his head slammed by the bone between this elk`s horns.
This video looks like it was shot in the fall and it`s common knowledge that this is when this young elk and others of his kin go through their mating rituals, so I guess the buck here decided that the photographer was strutting on his territory and decided to confront him.
However, the curious animal is also kind of cowardly, flinching and jumping back every time the guy makes any sort of sudden move. I hope the guy`s head didn`t hurt as much as it looked like it hurt though – that elk sure could pack a punch!
However, don`t forget that this dude lives in harmony with his buffalo!
