If you are a gearhead and movie buff at the same time than most probably you have seen the classic car guy movie – American Graffiti. It tells the story of a bunch of teens from California and their summer vacation`s last night. This movie has been selected by Congress to be preserved as a “historically, culturally and aesthetically significant” film back in 1995. After the original movie received such immense acclaim a second film was made. American Graffiti Two was produced to live up to the expectations. The second film story is set through four New Year`s Eve holidays and narrates four separate stories.
One of these stories is the story of the main guy from the first film – John Milner as his career advances. Milner and his rival engage in a war of words before racing on the track. When Milner manages to win the race, the parachute fails and his dragster goes off the track thus damaging the front end. Milner is in a very tricky situation and can`t compete against the Hunt Brothers. Nevertheless, his luck turned when his arch-rival Beckwith offered parts to repair Milner`s dragster. Now, Milner can compete against the Hunt Brothers` dragster and wins by a landslide. This is truly a great piece of cinematography from American Graffiti Two for all gearheads. Check it out below!
