Motorcycle Inspiration for the Design!

Veloster is a perfect example that Hyundai is becoming more and more cutting edge in the last years. Its unique design is inspired from sports motorcycles. Veloster black a-pillars gives the glass a look like high performance bike helmet visor look. In the front of the vehicle there is a Hyundai`s hexagonal radiator grille and original LED position front lights. Chrome grille elements are an option, as well as piano black finish, front fog lights and wide panoramic sunroof.

Hyundai`s Design Philosophy “Fluidic Sculpture” can be seen in the stylish character lines, aggressive wheel arches and unique headlights. 17 and two types of 18-inch alloy wheels are offered for completing the outside unique look.

Veloster`s Third Door Fresh Take!

Veloster`s passenger side conventionally hinged door is providing safe and ready access to the spacious rear seats. The rear door handle is hidden in order to maintain the coupe design.

Hyundai`s Smallest 1.6-Liter Gamma GDI!

The new 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine is the smallest GDi engine used in a Hyundai vehicle. GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine helps to bring highway fuel economy of 40 mpg, higher reliability and lower emissions. This 1.6-liter GDI engine delivers 138 hp at 6300 rpm with a max. Torque at 4850 rpm.

Veloster`s 201hp, 1.6-liter turbo engine, with direct injection, made its debut at 2011 Detroit Auto Show and warmed the fans` hearts. It was an answer to the journalist question that Veloster should put more push. Hyundai proved one more time how fast it can react and bring the result on time. With this 1.6-liter turbo engine, Hyundai showed that Veloster is not more show than go.

During the U.S. press launching event of Veloster. The engineers announced they felt Veloster have low end torque. Only two weeks from the event Hyundai development team created an engine prototype with new redesigned camshafts. As a result, this new turbo engine has addressed the issue. New Veloster with 1.6-liter turbo engine was introduced in 3-4 months, like an answer to complains that Veloster was more show than go.

The new Veloster Turbo it`s joined by a bigger hexagonal radiator grille, new rear bumper and side skirts, as well as bigger diffuser vents and newly designed chromed 18″ gray wheels.

New 6-Speed Transmission!

In order to continue the commitment for extreme fuel efficiency with the GDI Gamma engine, Hyundai unveiled a brand new 6-speed manual transmission and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) automatic transmission.

New Safety Features, Connectivity and the Latest Technology!

The car has all new VSM system (Vehicle Stability Management) which manages Electronic Stability Control system as well as MDPS (Motor-Driven electric Power Steering)

Hyundai Veloster comes with a 7-inch touch screen display with 3 different interface layouts, Pandora Internet Radio that can be connected to iPhone, Blackberry and Android. Rear Parking Camera connected to the LCD display and DVD player are an option.
