The first one to supercharge the 50th Anniversary Camaro are Hennessey Performance. They name the upgrade as HPE650. The power they laid down is astonishing. HPE managed to raise the power up to 589HP and 500.93 pound-feet of torque. This provides the muscle-car with a power similar to the ZL1, which translates into incredible acceleration. In fact, the SS runs 0.2 seconds faster from 0-60 than the ZL1. This allows the Camaro to complete a ΒΌ mile in just 11.5 seconds. The HPE650 increases the top speed to up to 190 mph as well.
