5 Must-Haves for Speedway Infield Camping

Camping on the speedway infield can prove to be an adventure that racing fans won`t soon forget. However, it`s imperative that you bring all of the essentials. If you don`t, you might miss some of the action because you have to go to the store to get what you need. Here are five must-haves that you need to have on hand for speedway infield camping.

First-Aid Kit

You may suffer from an injury or sickness when you are infield camping. If it`s minor, you can treat it yourself with a first-aid kit. Just make sure that it is fully stocked. It should contain things like bandages, a pain reliever and disposable gloves.

Portable Grill

You`ll probably be doing a lot of cooking before, during and after the race. Because of this, you should have a portable grill. Most speedways do allow them, but they need to meet certain requirements. Before you go to the race, you need to find out how large of a grill you can have and whether or not it will need to use propane or charcoal. In addition to appropriate food to cook on the grill, don`t forget things like aluminum foil and tongs.

Canopy

There`s a good chance you`ll be outdoors for at least several hours at a time. This can prove to be rather dreadful if there`s heavy rain or the sun is beating down on the speedway. This is why you need to pack a canopy. A 10×20 canopy can provide shade and shield you from rain. This can make your time camping more comfortable. These types of canopies are easy to fold up, and they don`t take up a lot of space. A canopy is a must-have when you are infield camping at the speedway.

Outdoor Chairs

You don`t want to have to sit on the ground the whole time that you are camped out on the infield. It`s a good idea to bring some comfortable camping chairs with you. You should be able to move them with ease, and you should be able to sit in them for hours on end and not feel any discomfort. Even though it may seem like a hassle to bring chairs, you will be more than happy that you did.

Binoculars

It can sometimes be difficult to see the race from certain parts of the infield. Because of this, you need to pack a pair of binoculars. It will make it easier to see all of the action that`s going on. You won`t have to miss out just because you are in the infield rather than in the stands watching the race.

If you don`t own already own binoculars, you really should invest in a good pair.  Leica, Nikon, and Olympus are brands you can trust. The magnified vision enables you to see the track on the far side of your part of the infield. This will allow you to see everything, and you will feel as if you are right there where all the action is taking place.

In conclusion, there are some things that you need in order to make your time camping infield at the speedway more enjoyable. When it comes time to pack for your trip, you need to make sure that you include all of the things mentioned above. By packing the right items, you will ensure that your time camping at the infield is a very pleasant experience.
