The 2019 Chevy Corvette C8 “Zora” is one of the most anticipated cars of the following years.
This is because after seven entire generations where the Corvette had a front-engine and yet a rear-wheel drive, it`s finally changing to a mid-engine configuration with the new C8. Chevrolet is probably going to present the new Corvette C8 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and it`s very possible that this car could begin to get produced around the middle of 2018. The prototypes are already there and are being tested as we speak, but it`s going to be a long way until they are actually made into production models. There will be a lot of cosmetic changes as well but none of them will affect the car like the engine position shift.
However, aside from the 2019 Chevy Corvette C8, another car is coming out with a new edition – the C7. Its release will overlap with the release of the Corvette C8 by up to a whole calendar year. The C7 ZR1 will be the new model rated at 638hp, and it will use the latest performance variants of Chevy`s small-block V8 under the engine cover. However, to make sure that this car is different than Cadillac`s rumored mid-engine sports car, the 4.0-liter engine would be provided with more variation than just plain sheet metal. Well, whatever they do with the car, I`m sure it`s going to be a fine addition to the roads of America, and I`m looking forward to taking a closer look at it soon!
