The updated version of Lotus Evora will probably be the fastest Lotus ever made due to the supercharged 3.5 liter V6 engine. With this engine, the 2016 Lotus Evora 400 has exactly 400 horses, hence the number in the name. Also, this car is capable of reaching 60mph in 4.1 seconds, and slightly more than 185mph of top speed. The engine is mid mounted and spins the rear wheels. It comes with a 6 speed manual and automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
The differential is Torsen type with limited slip and it is standard in the models with manual transmission, while the automatic ones have a new shift strategy in comparison with the previous model. There is also a switch on the dashboard which permits the driver to have control over the driving mode. He can change the settings between Drive, Sport and Racing.
