Saleen Automotive has bigger product spectrum now with the new Saleen Heritage Collection and the George Follmer Mustang. The George Follmer Mustang was recently shown to the public, standing next to the original 1969 #16 Boss 302 Mustang. This GF Edition Mustang is dedicated to one of the most famous racing drivers, Mr. George Follmer. The Mustang was based on the previously mentioned 1969 Mustang, but of course it was technically upgraded. The GF Edition Mustang features a 302 4valve engine paired with a six speed transmission and is able to produce more than 470hp.
The vehicle is modern but it still has something vintage in it, particularly when talking about the attitude it has. As for the interior, it has leather seats, Saleen GF badges and much more. Steve Saleen says that all vehicles in the Saleen Heritage Collection have something vintage in their exterior. He adds that when he drives some of these cars he re-tunes in the 60s and 70s era.
If you want to own this kind of vehicle you should know that the first deliveries are scheduled for autumn, 2013. The price of each model of the collection is about 70,000 dollars.
