At the Texas Motorplex event which we attended we saw very interesting cars. They were especially interesting in the way they were painted. Most of them were painted with several colors. But, the car that attracted our attention was a third generation Camaro painted only in black. Then we went to meet the owner of this amazing machine, Mr. H.T. Wilson. He was very nice and we were surprised when he said that events like this one are actually part of the family gatherings. The car features a 738 cubic V8 engine that includes aluminum blocks and 1100 Holley Dominator carburetors.
With all these elements, the engine is able to produce 2000 hp and torque of 1300 lb-ft. Harry Glass was responsible for making the doors, hood and the front end of carbon fiber. As for the interior, it is very practical and has everything that the driver needs. The ISO controls are on the steering wheel in form of three buttons. In the back of the car there is a sticker bomb that looks very modern and interesting.
This third generation Camaro door slammer has taken part in a lot of racing events including the Outlaw Top Sportsman and IHRA Top Sportsman happenings. Now it is getting qualified for the 10.5 class. Cars like this Camaro are the ones that actually make drag racing exciting and amazing.
