Those who had the money to buy muscle cars back in the 60s, 70s and 80s are really lucky! Nowadays, pretty much every car from that era is worth a lot and is already a part of our American automotive history. Today we take a glimpse of one fine muscle car specimen, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454! This rare beauty is owned by a Tennesee man named Victor. He has owned this remarkable car from 1981, and has had it ever since. However, he has parked his Chevy Chevelle since 1986, after facing some jail time due to reckless driving. Who could blame him for driving wild with a car like this!
Luckily, even though he has parked it, he still took care of it properly. There were only 4298 units of this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 ever made, with another 299 units being made in Canada. In addition to the 454ci engine, this ride had a flat tappet camshaft, a 2 bolt bearing engine blocks as well as a Quadrajet carburetor.
This particular Chevelle was an automatic, but the car also had an option to be a manual drive. Also, this model has an incorrect 5000rpm redline tachometer installed, with the correct one being 5500rpm. Take a glimpse of this beauty below and let us know what you think!
