In the American automotive history, there can be found a lot of awesome muscle cars, but among them, some hold a special place. One of those cars is definitely the 1967 Shelby GT500 427. As you may already know, in `67 Mustangs went through a redesign process. Meaning that Shelby vehicles also experienced many changes. Most gearheads agree that the Shelby cars reached their peak in 1965. This is due to the fact that they were incredibly lightweight but powerful rides which destroyed the competition. Just two years after, this model has become driver friendly for regular drivers as well.
Eventually, this turned out to be a fantastic business move, because buyers very rarely used these cars for racing. The customers demanded something more practical in day-to-day activities. Nevertheless, the 1967 Shelby GT500 427 was still an amazingly fast muscle car, fitted with a huge big block engine. With this in mind, it`s obvious why performances were incredible, yet styling was awesome as well. Till this day, the GT500 is one of the greatest looking muscle cars ever made.
