There are only 50(!) Dodge Dart vehicles ever produced, making this old-school dragster really rare car! That`s probably why this car is not the first race car word association for most people. The 1966 Dodge Dart model is a variation of the standard version (Dart GT) but with more power under the hood, where a 273 cubic-inch V8 motor is placed.
This machine was able to produce 275 horsepower and was sending all the power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. After the drag racing career, this car was switched to road racing. For that purpose it had an improved ignition system as well as disc brakes.
