Chevrolet`s answer to Dodge`s brand new muscle car is divine indeed. The renowned tuning shop, Hennessey Performance, just before the hotly anticipated release of the Dodge Demon produced their monstrous weapon which is a 1000HP Camaro called Exorcist. After all, John Hennessey is definitely not a man to stand idle while someone else makes a more powerful muscle car than him. This may be the reason why even before Dodge revealed their Demon, Hennessey announced the Exorcist. The Exorcist is actually a Camaro ZL1 that delivers 1000HP from its tuned supercharged V8. The Exorcist will debut in Texas at the same time with the Dodge Demon is unveiled at the NY International Auto Show.
Equipped with optional drag radials, Hennessey claims that this 1000HP Camaro is going from 0-60 mph in less than 3 seconds. He also says that it will be capable of making a quarter-mile pass in the 9`s! The Exorcist upgrade on the 2017 Camaro ZL1 will be priced at $55,000. This includes a bigger higher flowing supercharger, intercooler, a hotter camshaft, custom made engine management calibration and much more. This upgrade can be applied to both six-speed manual and ten-speed automatic ZL1 Camaros. However, you will need to spend further $9,950 worth of upgrades in order the transmission to endure the engine`s 996 pound-feet of torque.
