Aviation technology is a wondrous thing nowadays. However, sometimes Mother Nature is known to be very cruel and a challenge to even the finest of aviation engineering. This is where the pilot`s skills count the most. In this video we have a perfect example of that. An Airbus A321 plane encountered very rough conditions while trying to land at the Birmingham Airport. Unpredictable gusts and wind currents can be noticed suddenly catching the airplane. This forced the pilot to cancel his first landing attempt. Thankfully, the pilot managed to be successful on his second attempt. However, it wasn`t simple at all.
On the second attempt, you can see the Airbus A321 plane battling huge turbulence as it tries to land safely on the runway. Actually, the Birmingham Airport is notorious for immense wind currents which makes the landings there very intense. There are tons of examples where planes have difficulty landing there. We wonder what the reason for the sudden wind changes may be. The lack of trees in the vicinity or some other particular terrain feature? Whatever the reason may be, we sure wouldn`t want to land on that airport. Check out the video below and tell us what you think.
